The colorless watery fluid of the blood and lymph that contains no cells, but in which the blood cells (erythrocytes, leukocytes, and thrombocytes) are suspended. Synonyms: blood plasma, plasm.

A green slightly translucent variety of chalcedony used as a gemstone.
