The protoplasm of the germ cells that contains chromosomes and genes. Synonym: germ plasm.

The colorless watery fluid of the blood and lymph that contains no cells, but in which the blood cells (erythrocytes, leukocytes, and thrombocytes) are suspended. Synonyms: blood plasma, plasma.
